SACC Summit 2017
We are very proud and excited to announce to our community that SACC-NE has been selected to co-host this year's SACC Summit in Boston, the birthplace of the United States and symbol of Swedish-American trade! SACC Summit is the country's biggest and most followed Swedish-American event of the year. We are particularly excited to share with you that the theme of the summit is to highlight areas in business, academia, and society in which Sweden continually excels. We are working hard to put together an unforgettable program full of thought-provoking discussions on the Swedish edge in international business, Boston as a catalyst for innovation, Swedish-Americans disrupting big data and AI, gaming apps, a TED talk, sustainability and smart cities, and more!
SACC Summit is scheduled for October 25-26th, 2017 and will be attended by Executive Directors and Chairmen from 20 regional SACC chambers, as well as leading entrepreneurs, government officials and key thought leaders from across the country. The first day of the conference (October 25) will be open to the general public, with participation from leading Swedish and US government officials, executives, thought leaders and influencers. The second day (October 26), titled "Reaching Higher Ground", will feature speakers and panelists from our internal network, emphasizing how different chambers view best practices, ideas for future collaborations and improvements designed to make the SACC network even better.
Day 1 will take on the format of talks, panels and group discussions on promoting business through innovation. Specific topics include how the New England region has become a catalyst for innovation in life sciences and academia as well as Sweden’s successes in changing the way we interact with technology and the environment. The day will conclude with an upscale cocktail reception and dinner. Up to 150 people, including corporate members of the general public, are expected to attend.
Day 2 is intended for SACC representatives only and will feature internal information, planning and discussions on how our network can reach higher ground. Through workshops and group discussions, we will talk about the future of our organizations and how we can market and support Swedish and American companies through our vast network. Day 2 will conclude with a networking lunch for our SACC representatives, and is expected to welcome approximately 50 participants.
