Swedish Yuletide is here!✨

We’re excited to share that SWEA Boston’s beloved Swedish Yuletide is just around the corner and we warmly encourage you to join this festive celebration of Swedish holiday traditions!

When: December 13, 11 AM–3 PM

Where: Wellesley Hills Congregational Church

Tickets: $10, and children under 13 enter for free.

At 1:30 PM, the children of the Swedish School will present the beloved Lucia performance, a highlight of the day🕯️

You can also enjoy a delightful selection of Swedish food and beverages, including traditional baked goods and coffee - the perfect taste of Scandinavia in a cozy holiday setting🎄

It’s a fantastic opportunity to get into the holiday spirit, support meaningful causes, and experience a cherished Swedish tradition right here in New England🌟

We at SACC-New England are proud to welcome our newest member, Woolpower, Inc, a true Swedish success story in sustainable textile manufacturing.

Founded and based in Östersund, Sweden, Woolpower designs and produces high-quality base layers and mid-layers using its own uniqe merino wool fabric, Ullfrotté Original. Every step of the process, from knitting and fabric preparation, to sewing, packing and storage, takes place in Sweden. This inegrated approach ensures exceptional craftsmanship, full traceability and a long-term commitment to responsible production.

Woolpower creates high-quality garments that keep people comfortable, wherever the cold takes them. Whether you're outdoors for work or weekend adventure, our clothes are made to last—practical, durable, and responsibly produced in Sweden. Every piece reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, ethical manufacturing, and respect for both people and animals.

Woolpower, owned by brothers Daniel and Adam Brånby, has taken an exciting step forward by expanding its presence to the United States. Supporting this growth are executive team members Kaarina Kvaavik and Ivy Hughes, who bring deep expertise in operations, marketing, sales, and brand development.

Through its membership with SACC-New England, Woolpower aims to strengthen its network, build new business relationships and explore opportunities in  the U.S. outdoor, workwear and sustainability markets.

SACC SUMMIT 2025 - SAN DIEGO

The annual SACC Summit

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the annual SACC Summit - this year hosted in beautiful San Diego. This key event brings together all 19 Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce across the United States, uniting hundreds of business leaders, innovators and decision-makers from both sides of the Atlantic for three days of cross-country insights, collaboration, and premium networking.

November 11th:
One of the sponsors, Skapa by Saab, hosted a welcoming reception and networking event at their beautiful facilities located in Point Loma. This offered an exceptional opportunity to connect with fellow participants over refreshments and food.

November 12th:
The Summit conference was held at the Carté Hotel and was featured insightful panels discussing life science, cleantech, defense, telecommunications and global collaborations.
Following the conference, an exclusive networking event took place aboard a Hornblower boat we enjoyed stunning skyline views and refreshments - a perfect setting to build meaningful connections in a relaxed atmosphere.

November 13th:
SACC USA Internal Day - held exclusively for the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, including board members and interns. This was a fantastic oportunity for everyone to share ideas, discuss our different ways of working and explore future intiatives within the SACC network.

A big thank you to SACC San Diego and SACC USA for organizing this incredible summit. We are already looking forward to next year! 🇸🇪🇺🇸✨

Drinks and light refreshments will be served. We are excited to welcome Woolpower as the newest member of SACC-NE! Woolpower manufactures high-quality base layers and mid-layer wool garments with all production proudly carried out in Sweden. The event will feature a presentation by Woolpower’s Owner Daniel Brånby and COO Kaarina Kvaavik. Woolpower’s products will be available at the event and there will be an exclusive raffle.
