Dear SACC-NE members and friends,

With summer finally around the corner, I’m pleased to share with you this month’s letter highlighting our latest developments and plans moving forward.

In the advent of Facebook’s data scandal, peace (beginning to) being brokered between North and South Korea, the first electric charging road being opened in Sweden, and ABBA announcing their first song in 35 years, April has been an exciting month politically, environmentally, and culturally. At SACC-NE, we often receive questions from the local community about ‘what Swedes and Scandinavians think about’ various issues. We’ve come to realize the importance of sharing with our community more about what Swedish/Nordic culture is about while still bringing forth eminent discussions focused on the top emerging business trends.

We were therefore thrilled to partner with Nordic Live on an event, where we invited Norwegian Architect Mette Aamodt to introduce us to Nordic Design Principles. It was inspiring to see the strong turnout and curiosity we received regarding the ‘Nordic Way of Life.’ As we have seen in the past, there is a strong interest in bringing the Boston-based Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland) more closely together. We view this as an exciting development that we plan on promoting more strongly in the future.

Until next time!

At your service,

Christina Björnström

President, SACC-NE
